Accommodations on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus

The Center for Climate Literacy will partner with the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Event Services to make booking as smooth as possible. Participants who opt to stay on campus in campus housing will be able to choose their own room types, stay during, and more—including meal plans—through a single registration system. 

Lodging

Participants are responsible for booking their own lodging. 

The most affordable lodging is the on-campus dorm Centennial Hall. Check-in is at 1 pm and check-out is by 12 pm. Linens (sheets, pillow, towel, and blanket) are included in the residence hall room with an extra-long twin bed, desk, chair, dresser, and closet. All of the residence halls are air conditioned. The halls also have free laundry facilities and kitchen space (oven, stove, and microwave) for guests to use as well. Nightly costs are as follows:

  • Shared Room, Shared Bathroom: $53.00 per person, per night
  • Private Room, Shared Bathroom: $63.00 per person, per night

Participants can also choose to stay at nearby hotels, Airbnbs, or other accommodations.

Participants can make use of the on-campus dining facilities located in Pioneer Hall (immediately next to Centennial Hall). 

  • Full meal package (3 meals/day): $36.80/day
  • Ala Cart:
    • Breakfast: $12.40
    • Lunch: $13.75
    • Dinner: $15.60

There are also ample restaurants in the Dinkytown neighborhood, just across the street from Peik Hall, where the majority of the institute will take place
