Exploring the Twin Cities

There are few places better than the Twin Cities in the summer. Participants will have ample opportunities to get out and explore. Several highlights include:

• The second and third best metropolitan park systems in the nation
• The native-owned Owamni, 2022's best restaurant in the nation, which exclusively uses ingredients indigenous to the Americas
• Miles of hiking and biking trails along the Chain of Lakes park system, Mississippi River, and more
• World class theaters like the Guthrie, Orpheum, and Fitzgerald
• Nationally known bookstores like Moon Palace Books, Red Balloon Children's Books, and Louis Erdrich-owned Birchbark Books
• Vibrant riverfront areas within walking distance to campus
• The Minnesota Twins, St. Paul Saints, and Minnesota United Loons with stadiums connected to campus by light rail
• Excellent art at Walker Art Center and the Minnesota Institute of Art (entrance is free!)
